    The food is great! Not too much batter, and not too greasy. I felt very comfortable post meal. We ordered a family pack (halibut) with an order of Haggis and Chips and extra gravy and coleslaw (the large sides are 8 ounces/1 cup).

    Ate lunch here, ordered the halibut combo. It's been a few years since i last ate here, i remember they used to fry the food with tallow, well....i am slightly disaapointed that they don't use it anymore. I think most of the places around the area have stopped using tallow probably due to the inflation. The fish was still pretty good, the fries didn't taste as good when they were fried with tallow but i guess i can't fault them for that.

    Food & Family always makes the best bond. Family owned restaurant with Mother being the one that overlooks her family. Absolutely best fish and chips stop shop in East GTA. My only go to place for both quality foods, portions and service. A strong family value within this facility and the product they offer truly shows it. It's our only stop for our Fish&Chip needs! Fries are great, the gravy is so good, and the Coleslaw is on fleek! The fish whether you order Haddock or Halibut, you can't go wrong, both are just seasoned and cooked to perfection every time ! We love this place and those who run it ! Thank you !!!!! It's Dyer Approved !

    The fish was very good! The chips were great. A very, nice subtle crunch! Gravy and tarter sauce was even better! I love the bottle of tarter sauce they leave at the table! I never have enough tarter when going out for fish and chips, at My Place, this is not an issue! I will be coming back for more!

    Love this place. Been coming here for years and the food is consistently good. One time I even showed up 2 min before closing (I forgot not every day is 9pm) but they still served me with a smile (to go, of course). The new place across the street can’t compete with the quality and service here!

    Love the fish and chips here! Batter is fried crispy and not oily. I had the halibut, a nice portion and lots of fresh cut fries. Would send a picture but I ate it all. It’s a family restaurant with booths and dining tables that haven’t been quite updated but it’s clean. Their great food and friendly service makes them a gem.

    I came here because I read Kevin W's review. I'm in a wheelchair, and I was 100% looked after. I completely enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. I had the halibut and chips. VERY good. I genuinely appreciate that everyone is given plenty of condiments: tartar sauce, ketchup, etc. The Lady who served me is delightful. I look forward to going there again, thank you!

    Forgot to take photos BEFORE eating because the food was so hot and fresh and had to take a bite before it cooled down ever a little. This was my mom’s and I’s first time eating here and was instantly pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing compared to other fish & chips spots. We both ordered halibut and chips and the batter was perfectly crisp and light on the fish and included 2 pieces of fish and a generous amount of fries. My ultimate pet peeve for fish and chips is when the batter falls off when you’re cutting the fish but that didn’t happen here at all! We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole meal and the service was also really great too. The decor is very humble and outdated but that’s a clear sign of great food in my book. 5/5, we plan to come again!
